SITUATION
Every shipment lived in three systems, and nobody had the whole of it.
The international freight platform held the booking, the customs and warehousing system held the goods, and SAP held the money. Each was right about its part, none of them agreed with the others, and the status of a shipment came by phone and spreadsheet.
WHAT WAS BUILT
AHEAD Edge connects to the three systems through its connectors, and its fusion layer keeps the provenance of every fact, resolves the conflicts between the sources by reliability and recency, and holds one live picture of every shipment. Agents watch the picture, raise the exceptions, and propose the action, which a person approves. None of the three systems was replaced or changed.
HOW IT RUNS
On-premise, inside the forwarder's network. The logistics agents were proven first on the Group's own multi-tenant warehouses, which remain the permanent live environment for every release before it reaches the client.
WHAT CHANGED
One picture of every shipment, with the source of every fact in it, and the exceptions surfaced with their cause instead of found by phone.
